​LandCurrent designs wildfire smart landscapes that give your home or neighborhood a layer of protection against wildfires that unfortunately are happening far too often these days.

Unlike contractors or vendors of wildfire defense systems, we design wildfire defense in an integrated manner, making it specific to your situation, such as prevailing wind, local historic wildfire behavior, budget, and aesthetics. We use similar wildfire defense systems from key vendors that wet your house and direct surroundings. But importantly, we integrate this system with smart irrigation and the use of materials, plants, and structures that all combined give you the best solution to defend against wildfires. In other words, we do what landscape architects do, which is creating unique site and client-specific solutions.

On larger projects and for example when a new house is designed, we work closely and collaboratively with architects, engineers, contractors and the fire department as needed.

We are currently working on projects with integrated fire defense solutions in Oregon and Washington State. These projects range from smaller landscape and irrigation updates close to existing homes to entirely new landscape designs and new buildings where we work closely with the building architect.
