Meadow Garden

Location: Eugene, Oregon

This sloping meadow garden in Eugene's south-west hills is carved out of a matrix of mature Oregon Oak and Douglas Firs. Patios at different levels include a custom-designed parrilla grill and steps with easy to reach kitchen herbs.

This family garden also includes children's spaces: a sand pit, a slope with artificial turf for hill sliding and various nooks for kids to hide and play.  The meadow plantings provide seasonal interest. Concrete and boulder steps loop through the meadow hillside.
