Pixie Garden

Location: Eugene, Oregon

This bold modern composition with gabion walls was designed by LandCurrent for the artist couple Violet Clark and Charles Thompson (a.k.a Black Francis, a.k.a. Frank Black of the Pixies) and their five children. LandCurrent designed the landscape simultaneously with a remodel of the house by 2-Form Architects. Site complexities included a steeply sloped front and back yard and lack of access from the living room and kitchen to outdoor garden areas.
